Greetings from NASCAR! We would like to cordially invite you to join us for our
2009 NASCAR Security and Track Services Summit in January 2009.
The Summit is a joint effort between the NASCAR Security, Track Services and Medical
Liaison Departments.
The attendees include track representatives from NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR
Nationwide Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series tracks throughout all of North
America.
Over the course of our three-day Summit, employees and volunteers come together
to share experiences and gain additional knowledge regarding their roles in Operations,
Fire & Safety, Medical, Security and other fields at their respective tracks.
We look forward to seeing you in January!

The initial Summit Registration Deadline has passed.
The Registration deadline for the 2009 Security & Track Services Summit was December 5, 2008.
If you would like to register for the Summit after this date, please contact Beverly Weslowski at (704) 720-3183.
Registrations after December 5, 2008 are subject to a 'Late Registration Fee' of $100.00
NASCAR welcomes representatives
from all tracks that host NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, and Craftsman
Truck Series events.
Registrations will be confirmed with and approved by each track as part of the registration process.

Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor worked on protection teams for four governors while with the Missouri
State Highway Patrol. In 1989, he was selected to be Commander of the Governor’s
Security Division, a position he held until 1997. He served two terms as president
of the National Governor’s Security Association (NGSA). Mr. Taylor has worked senior
positions in protective operations for the Pope, Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher,
and every U.S. President since Gerald Ford. Author of two books on protection, he
is now Special Projects Advisor with Gavin de Becker and Associates.

Fred Whitfield
A talented sports executive with experience as a player, coach, agent, sports marketer
and basketball operations administrator, Fred Whitfield was named President &
Chief Operating Officer of Bobcats Sports & Entertainment in July of 2006. In
this role, Whitfield oversees all operations for the Charlotte Bobcats, Time Warner
Cable Arena and the Bobcats Youth Foundation. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina,
Whitfield brings a portfolio that includes Brand Jordan, a division of Nike, Inc.;
the Washington Wizards; Nike Basketball; Falk Associates Management Enterprises
(F.A.M.E.); a private law practice; Achievements Unlimited Basketball School; and
